Term 4 Girls Co-curricular Sport Wrap-up

As we bid farewell to Term 4, it brings us immense joy to celebrate the outstanding achievements and success of our girls in the Co-curricular Sport program. This term has been marked by remarkable triumphs and commendable efforts across various teams.

Our Senior A Basketball team has left an indelible mark by emerging as the undefeated champions in the weekly competition. Their prowess has led them to the Gold Coast, competing at the Australian School Basketball Championships. Meanwhile, the Senior B Basketball team, overcoming a slow start, finished strong with four consecutive wins. The Middle B Basketball team, comprised of talented Year 7s and Year 8s, showcased excellence by maintaining an undefeated streak throughout Term 4. We eagerly anticipate their continued success in 2024.

Middle C and Year 7 B/C Basketball teams faced intense competition, displaying exceptional resilience and determination. Through rigorous training and unwavering commitment, both teams concluded the term with significant victories, setting the stage for future successes.

Touch Football proved to be a popular choice, with over 30 enthusiastic girls participating. Despite varying skill levels, each team demonstrated natural talent for the sport. Their hard work during training sessions translated into successful game performances, with the majority of teams clinching victories.

Volleyballers shone brightly this term, with Middle B remaining undefeated throughout the season. The Year 7 teams exhibited great potential, paving the way for future successes as they secured victories in the majority of their games. The spirit of teamwork and determination was truly evident on the court.

In Waterpolo, Middle A/B dominated with an impressive record of victories, with the only setback coming against the formidable Pembroke team. Undeterred, they approached each game with determination, and we are confident they will return even stronger next year. The Senior Waterpolo team navigated a mixed season with admirable resilience and respect, showcasing the true spirit of sportsmanship.

As we reflect on the accomplishments of this term, we express our gratitude to the coaches, parents, and most importantly, the dedicated athletes who have made these achievements possible. We eagerly anticipate the upcoming sports seasons, where we hope to witness even greater triumphs and sportsmanship.

Wishing you all a restful break and looking forward to an exciting 2024 in sports!
