Inclusive Education
The students involved in Inclusive Education benefit from targeted withdrawal for the remediation of basic literacy and numeracy skills, counselling for social and emotional difficulties and adjustments to the school curriculum.
These interventions allow students to successfully access the curriculum, make best use of their abilities and become more independent and confident learners. Students have a Personalised Learning Plan which is developed by students, in collaboration with teachers, counsellors, and parents to help them achieve short and long-term learning goals. These are adjusted at regular intervals to account for changing needs, and student progress is closely monitored, and this information shared with students, teachers, and parents. We continue to offer support throughout their schooling. There are many added modes of support available in senior years, including the organisation of Special Provisions (for eligible students doing SACE), subject selection counselling, and assisting with the transition from school to work and/or further study.
