Year 12 Retreat

Year 12 students and teachers ventured to Mylor, Normanville and Belair to participate in the Year 12 Retreat. The 3-day experience gave students the opportunity to pause, reflect and reconnect with themselves and their peers, away from their busy lives.

“Retreat was an amazing opportunity for us to all enjoy quality time together as a year level. We spoke to people we hadn’t talked to before, made up with those we’d had struggles with, and looked ahead to our Year 12 journey in good spirits. I was lucky enough to be on the Normanville Camp, in which we made memories that we will never forget. Student’s and teacher’s positive attitude and commitment to participating made for a special time that was valuable to us all. For our last activity, we were provided with a prayer book, and given the opportunity to write a small message of thanks in other students or teachers books to show our appreciation for them. This was a great time to reflect and brighten up someone’s day by spreading kindness and love to them. I found this to be the defining moment of the camp, and an experience I will hold onto for life.” – William, Year 12

“I was fortunate enough to experience the Belair retreat which was filled with many fun and exciting challenges and adventures for all the students. It was great to see that each and every student spent time meeting new people and expanding our horizons, putting in the effort to get the most out of the experience. For me, the most influential and powerful part of my time in Belair was listening to the many stories that the students and teachers alike shared. The incredible circumstances and lives that these people around me have truly opened my eyes to appreciate just how lucky I am. The many stories we shared and the laughs that were had are simple things that I’ll cherish forever.” – Lachlan, Year 12
