The master planning process has enabled St Michael’s College to create a comprehensive roadmap for the expansion and sustainability of its infrastructure. This plan is designed to strengthen and support the teaching, learning, and wellbeing of students, staff, and the broader College community by delivering contemporary, flexible and holistic learning environments.
In 2024, significant progress continued at the Primary Campus, with the Stage 3 project on track for completion by the end of Term 1, 2025. The $26 million investment at the Primary Campus since 2019 has delivered state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring the infrastructure meets the demands of the College’s growing Primary enrolments.
Looking ahead, attention will shift to the Secondary Campus, with major building works outlined in the 10-Year Masterplan scheduled to begin in Term 4, 2025.
We are excited to share a digital ‘fly-through’ showcasing the scope of these significant developments across both the Secondary and Primary campuses.
The first priority will be the construction of the STEAM Centre, set to begin in Term 4, 2025. This cutting-edge facility will house the Science, Technologies (Food and Design), Engineering, Arts (Visual), and Mathematics learning areas. This represents an investment of $30 million and will support student pathways into areas of career growth within STEAM industries.

Other key projects highlighted in the ‘fly-through’ include:
• An expanded Design Technology learning spaces
• A Performing Arts hub featuring a purpose-built 300-seat theatre
• A two-story Senior School development on Lawrie Street
• Expansion and upgrades to the Administration building
• Pavillion development and relocation of Maintenance
• A new Centre for Inclusivity
A key focus has been preserving the integrity and sustainability of our existing green spaces, alongside ambitious plans for the revitalisation of communal areas and outdoor environments.
These developments represent an exciting new chapter in the College’s history, supporting its commitment to providing exceptional educational experiences and fostering a vibrant, inclusive community where individuals are confident to explore their curiosities, flourish and fully realise their potential.
Yours sincerely,
