Celebrating Creativity: St Michael’s College Arts Week 2025
St. Michael’s College had the incredible privilege of welcoming David Booth and his Imbala Aboriginal performance crew to kickstart Arts Week 2025. The students were immersed in the rich traditions of Aboriginal culture through a powerful performance that showcased traditional Aboriginal dance, music, and storytelling.
Building on this experience, some of the Year 7 students had the opportunity to participate in hands-on painting and jewellery-making workshops.









Year 10 Art Students Inspired by Salvador Dalí Exhibition at d’Arenberg Cube
The Salvador Dalí exhibition at the d’Arenberg Cube was a highlight of Arts Week, providing the Year 10 Art students with a deep connection to the world of Surrealism and a greater understanding of Dalí’s genius. The visit was not only an educational experience but also a source of artistic inspiration, sparking ideas that the students are sure to carry with them throughout their studies.

Lucy Timbrell’s Lino Printing Workshop: A Creative Exploration
Printmaker Lucy Timbrell presented an engaging workshop during Arts Week, where she demonstrated the intricate techniques of lino printing. Students were given the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of this unique art form, exploring the process from carving the lino blocks to printing their designs.



Year 11 and 12 Students Dive into Collage with Artist Alice Lindstrom
Alice Lindstrom’s workshop was a highlight of Arts Week 2025, offering Year 11 and 12 students not only a fresh perspective on collage but also a deeper appreciation for the creative process. It was a day of learning, inspiration, and artistic growth that will surely leave a lasting impact.

Workshop with emerging artist Arlon Hall
Yesterday our Visual Art’s students had the opportunity to participate in a workshop led by one of South Australia’s renowned emerging Artists Arlon Hall. Arlon inspired our students to explore the vulnerability and emotion of line and mark making. Students worked to capture the essence of sound and movement in their large scale works.
