SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Wednesday 25 May, the Year 7 to 12 St Michael’s Swimming team competed in the School Sports SA State Championship at SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre. Students participated in 50m Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle, and Relay events. Although they were a very small team, each individual swimmer competed to the best of their abilities. The swimmers left with outstanding results, some achieving within the top three of the nine schools who attended. Special mention to our Relay teams, 12 to 13-year-old girls who placed 4^th, 12 to 13-year-old boys who placed 3^rd and our, 16 to 17 and 16 to 19-year-old girls who placed 1^st.  An excellent result of 5^th place overall. A big thank you to all students and spectators for your participation throughout the night.
