Welcome to the Year 7 Transition Hub for students commencing at St Michael’s College in 2027. This page brings together the key information families will need throughout the transition process.

Below you will find important dates, events and deadlines to help you plan for the year ahead, along with a list of key contacts who can assist with any questions regarding enrolment, orientation, student wellbeing, learning support, uniforms and other transition matters.

We encourage families to refer to this page regularly, as it will be updated with the latest information throughout the transition journey, with dates and times subject to change.

• Full day in Pastoral Care groups
• Students to be in full PE uniform (bring hat) as student photographs will be taken on this day for student ID cards

Year 7 Camp
Week 4 of Term 1
Wednesday 17 to Friday 19 February
This is an exciting and important experience where all Year 7 students will embark on camp simultaneously, heading to one of five different locations

Step 1: Order Your Stationery Pack

The annual stationery packs are managed by Campion Education. Student subject information has been provided to families and stationery items can now be ordered online.

Key Dates:

  • Online ordering opens in late November 2026
  • Orders placed after Friday 18 December 2026 will incur an increased postage fee
  • Stationery packs will be delivered to your nominated address from late December 2026 through to January 2027

Step 2: Complete Your Consent2Go Information

St Michael’s College uses Consent2Go to manage:

  • Parent and caregiver contact details
  • Student medical information
  • Media permissions (including social media and publications)
  • Excursion permissions and approvals

An invitation to access Consent2Go and update your child’s details will be sent to families in late November 2026.


Step 3: Set Up Your SEQTA Account

SEQTA is the College’s learning management system that connects students, teachers and families.

All Year 7 parents and caregivers will receive an email during the week prior to the commencement of Term 1, 2027 with instructions and login details.

You can access SEQTA by:

  • Downloading the SEQTA Engage App via the Apple Store or Google Play (preferred), or
  • Accessing SEQTA through a web browser

Important Information:

  • Select ‘Manual Setup’ when prompted
  • Your username and password will be sent to your registered email address
  • If you have not received your login details, check your junk or spam folder
  • Unregistered parents will receive an email at the beginning of Week 1, Term 1 2027
  • For assistance, password resets or login issues, email: seqta@smc.sa.edu.au

Key areas within SEQTA:

  • Assessments: due dates and assessment results
  • Weekly Courses: subject information and learning resources
  • Notices: daily student notices
  • Reports: Semester 1 and Semester 2 reports
  • Finance: Fee information, statements and receipts

A SEQTA information session for families will be held in early 2027. Further details will be provided closer to the date.


Step 4: Nominate for Co-curricular Activities

Students are encouraged to become involved in the many co-curricular opportunities available at St Michael’s College, including sport, music, performing arts and a wide variety of clubs.

Sport
New Year 7 students will be invited to nominate for sports prior to Monday 11 January 2027. Before nominating, families should review the Co-Curricular Sport Handbook, which outlines:

  • Participation expectations
  • Training commitments
  • Match requirements
  • Selection processes

Resources:

Music Ensembles
Students wishing to participate in a co-curricular music ensemble should complete the online nomination form. Families are encouraged to read the Co-Curricular Music Handbook before submitting nominations.

Private Instrumental Lessons:
Families may register for private instrumental lessons through the online form at the beginning of the school year. Families wishing to arrange lessons before the commencement of the 2027 school year should contact Sonia Via via the following email:

Performing Arts
Students can register their interest in:

  • Dance Classes
  • Junior Drama Club (Years 7 and 8)

Step 5: Purchase Any Required Co-curricular Uniforms

Some co-curricular sports and activities require specific uniforms. Families should refer to the relevant handbook for uniform requirements. Co-curricular uniforms can be purchases from:
