Textbooks

The St Michael’s College Secondary Campus provides students with subscriptions for digital access to most learning resources.

Students can access these resources by clicking the relevant icon on their SEQTA welcome screen. However, where digital access to learning resources is not available or suitable, a Textbook Loan Scheme operates, where these resources are loaned to students through the campus Library.

In this Loan Scheme:

  • The books remain the property of St Michael’s College.
  • Students are responsible for their upkeep. They are not to be written in and must be returned in good condition.
  • Parents/Caregivers will be billed for books not returned or those returned in an unacceptable condition.
  • Textbooks required for 2026 will be distributed either in the Pastoral Care class when students return to school or during the subject learning program.
  • Any textbooks/resources loaned each year must be returned by the end of the year.

Student Accident Insurance

The College has negotiated a Student Accident Insurance Policy with AON.

The ‘Student Protection Plan’ provides cover for all students whilst at school or undertaking school activities (including work experience).

In the event of an accident resulting in injuries as listed in the policy, a ‘School Student Accident Claim’ form will need to be completed in conjunction with the College. AON will then access the claim.

Please contact the College at student.reception@smc.sa.edu.au for information or assistance.

In recent years, we have made significant strides, and we will continue to advance with the integration of learning technologies across the College.

Secondary students will be issued a College-supplied device (ILT Device). Currently, a Microsoft Windows 11 device will be handed out upon commencement in Year 7 and in Year 10 at the Secondary Campus.

For more details, please visit our Integrated Learning Technology Program page: Integrated Learning Technology Program

Drop Off/Pick Up

Student access is available from surrounding streets around the campus, with wombat crossings on Cudmore Terrace and Lawrie Street.

A designated drop-off and pick-up zone is located at the Lasallian Education Centre (LEC) car park, accessible via Lawrie Street.

There is considerable traffic congestion in the mornings and the first ten minutes after school dismissal. We recommended picking up after this time at other gates around the College ovals to ease traffic congestion.
