Year 5 Camp
On Wednesday 14 February to Friday 16 February, the Year 5 cohort participated in a camp facilitated by Active Education at She-Oak Run at Finniss. The camp had a combined focus on personal development, resilience, team work and water activities.
We were greeted by sunshine and beautiful conditions throughout the 3 days. The students participated in a range of activities from problem solving challenges, raft building, water testing, kayaking, surfing, orienteering and an initiative obstacle course – just to name a few! Students had free time to play sports like soccer, cricket , shot some baskets and various card games such as Uno, Go Fish and a movie night.
The student’s representation of the College was exemplary, as was noted and recognised by the attending College staff and Active Ed instructors. The students should be proud of what they achieved on the camp and look back on this with fond memories. It was a learning experience that will help prepare them for their trip to Canberra next year.
