Our Lived Lasallian Experience
St Michael’s College staff were involved in a whole school reflection day on Friday September 9. The day provided an opportunity to connect with our rich Lasallian history and reflect how we are connected to the much larger and longer Lasallian story. This story continues to be written, lived out and experienced in the present time. It was an opportunity to gather, pause, and contemplate how each person is uniquely contributing to this ongoing story, and how it is lived out in the present time. Through the lens of our founding story, staff were challenged to find encouragement for our personal, professional, individual, and collective journey at St Michael’s.

We thank our presenters Br John Cantwell and Philippe Dulawan, from the Lasallian Mission Council team, for facilitating a challenging and informative day in developing our understanding of our Lasallian Charism.

Celebration of the Sacraments
The Sacraments are not a graduation but an initiation and a continuation. The sacraments initiate, fortify and continue the life of faith.
This faith was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church last weekend where six St Michael’s students received the Sacrament of Confirmation and first Holy Communion.  It is also celebrated and lived in the life of our students with the mission of living and proclaiming the Gospel compassionately, joyfully and through the ongoing work of peace and justice.

The Sacraments do not graduate us from one level to another; rather, they lead us on the road of continuous conversion and transformation that embraces the individual, the community and society, while leading us to eternal life.

Congratulations to our students on their Sacraments Celebration.
