PASTORAL SUPPORT

It is inevitable that in a school the size of St Michael’s College, many of our students will experience the illness and/or bereavement of a close family member or friend. Many of you are familiar with my involvement with the families of the school.

I would like to invite you to call me if there is any assistance I can offer with bereavements, funerals or support for your families during illness, whether it be a visit or prayers.

RORY’S SCHOOL LUNCHES COMMUNITY PRICING UPDATE

With the struggles businesses faced over the last twelve months, including staff and supplier shortages and spiraling costs due to COVID, floods, and war in Europe, Rory’s has made the hard decision to pass forward some of the price increases that have been experienced in the first quarter. An updated menu will take effect from 1 June 2022. Please read the below announcement from Rory’s.

PARENT AND CAREGIVER SURVEY

Recently parents and caregivers of the College would have received an email regarding the Parent and Caregiver Survey (PaCS) which seeks feedback from key stakeholders and is being undertaken in conjunction with the Curtin University’s ‘National Schools Improvement (NSI) Partnerships Effective School Improvement Program’.

The PaCS collects Parent/Caregiver experiences regarding:

• teacher support, student behaviour, student progress and assessment criteria;
• affirmation of diversity, welcoming ethos and communication, and
• aspirations for your child’s education and your satisfaction with the College.

If you did not receive the recent email to participate, please contact smc@smc.sa.edu.au and the information will be forwarded to you.

The closing date for the survey has been amended to Sunday 5 June, 2022.
