YEAR 12 GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR ABORIGINAL STUDENTS IN CATHOLIC EDUCATION

On Monday 18 October, Year 12 student Bella Kennedy (12PC-09) was invited to attend the Year 12 Graduation Ceremony for Aboriginal Students in Catholic Education held at the Art Gallery of South Australia. This ceremony was held in recognition of the talents, achievements and hard work which has been accomplished by our Indigenous students across the Metropolitan area. Welcome to Country was given by Senior Kaurna Man – Mickey Kumatpi O’Brien who has worked closely with us at St Michael’s College and followed by the inspirational blessing from Fr Tom Gleeson. Dr Neil McGoran, Director of Catholic Education, presented each student with a certificate and a beautiful painting by a local Indigenous artist. Congratulations to Bella for successfully completing her Year 12 studies. The College community wishes her all the very best for the future.

ST MICHAEL’S COLLEGE REUNIONS

This year we are doing things a little differently. The College will be hosting a ‘Reunion Night’ which means all decade reunions from this year will be joining together for a College Tour at 6:00 pm at the Secondary Campus. Following this we have organised different venues offsite providing the chance for each cohort to party on and reconnect for the rest of the evening.

The reunion is not just for graduates but also for anyone who would have finished Year 12 in the years listed below. We encourage you to please spread the word to your respective network of friends so that as many graduates as possible are informed and can join in on the fun.
