It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

There is lots to celebrate as we come to the end of another school year and at the Primary Campus just this week there has been some great examples of independence and agency in learning.

Reception students have welcomed their special guest to ‘Meet the Authors’ and shared a range of books they have written across the whole year. To see the growth and pride in their work was amazing. Well done to the Reception teachers for organising a great event!

On 26 November we were so proud that a team of Year 5 podcasters were nominated for the prestigious Arch D 2023 Radio Podcasting Awards. To be nominated from over 1,000 students was a great achievement.

Our nominees were:

Podcaster of the Year: Tully

An award for a student that demonstrated leadership within their podcasting community, elevating the quality of both their own and other’s podcast work to the highest standard.

Podcast Artwork of the Year: “A Whizzing Adventure” – Tully, Tyler, Xavier and Reid

An award to recognise creativity, attention to detail and an understanding of the way podcast artwork attracts listeners.

Unfortunately, we didn’t take out an award this year, but we were best dressed! Here is a link to the nominated podcast A Whizzing Adventure! You can also access all our episode for this year in the link.

There have been lots of mini celebrations this week including student performances for each other with the Wind in the Willows production and for families with the Early Primary Christmas concerts, and the Brass and Woodwind performance too.

As we get to the end of the year and school reports come home, along with all the wonderful creations made though the term, I hope you all have time to celebrate the learning and growth that has happened for all of us across the year. Remember the wise words everyone learns at their own pace and it’s not a race.
