UniSA’s Software Engineering (Honours) Degree
UniSA is partnering with the IT industry, the Australian Industry Group (AI Group) and the South Australian Government to provide a university cadetship program to meet the continually growing demand for Software Engineers. You will study UniSA’s Software Engineering (Honours) degree over five years while having a paid position working for one of our IT industry partners. This unique combination of paid work and study that is co-delivered by UniSA and your host employer, allows for immersive on-the-job training ensuring that you graduate with the knowledge and skills required of a software engineer. You will earn while you learn and graduate as an experienced software engineer.

UniSA’s Bachelor of Visual Effects
This industry-focussed degree puts you at the cutting edge of visual effects production. Combining theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and unparalleled industry-based learning, it will set you up for a career as a multi-disciplinary visual effects artist. Developed with one of Australia’s largest and most awarded VFX studios, Rising Sun Pictures, you’ll spend 60% of your degree onsite at RSP in their purpose-built simulated studio. This industry-based learning starts in your first year of study, and you’ll learn from experienced VFX artists and have access to the latest technologies, while gaining first-hand experience of professional practices.
Throughout the degree you’ll gain an understanding of all stages of the professional production cycle, from conceptualisation right through to post-production. You’ll also develop your knowledge and practice of core VFX areas including compositing and tracking, dynamic effects and lighting, creature effects, 3D animation and 3D modelling. You can also choose to accelerate your studies and complete your degree in 2.5 years.

Job Guarantee for HRM and Property Students
UniSA is now offering a 3-month job guarantee for students commencing study in the Bachelor of Business (Property) and Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management). Students can claim the guarantee one month after graduating if they fail to secure full-time or part-time employment. See full criteria under the ‘Your Career’ section on the degree pages.
With a 9.5% increase in demand for skilled workers in real estate by 2026, UniSA offers a unique job guarantee for property graduates. Eligibility criteria includes:
- The guarantee is only available to students commencing study from 2024.
- Students must be enrolled in a property program for two-thirds of their total enrolment (equivalent to 2 years full-time).
- The guarantee applies only to students who exit their property degree with a minimum GPA of 5.0.
- Students must include either an internship or work placement as part of their study.
- Students must complete the self-paced online module From Application to Interview: Presenting Your Best Self.
- Graduates who do not secure independent employment (full or part-time) after one month of graduating are eligible to claim the three-month, full-time job guarantee2.
- Students must meet behavioural and performance standards over the course of the three-month employment period.
With a 16.3% increase in demand for skilled human resource managers (HRM) by 2026, UniSA offers a unique job guarantee for HRM graduates. Eligibility criteria includes:
- The guarantee is only available to students commencing study from 2024.
- Students must be enrolled in a HRM program for two-thirds of their total enrolment (equivalent to 2 years full-time).
- The guarantee applies only to students who exit their HRM degree with a minimum GPA of 5.0.
- Students must include either an internship or work placement as part of their study.

UniSA Diplomas, Foundation Studies, Undergraduate Certificates and Aboriginal Pathway Program provide options if you’re looking for an alternate pathway to university. You might not meet the required qualifications to get directly into a bachelor’s degree and these programs are a supportive way to settle into the university environment.
You’ll be prepared to succeed at university by building academic skills and prerequisite knowledge. Plus, you get to experience life as a UniSA student, which means being taught by UniSA staff and accessing the full range of support services the university provides.
