With a surge in enrolment demand for the Primary Campus, Stage 3 building works have been announced
Dear St Michael’s College Community,
We are excited to announce the Board have approved an earlier timeframe for the commencement of Stage 3 works as part of the Masterplan, which will enable the future growth and development of the Primary campus and realise an increase in enrolment numbers.
The recent $17.4m investment in facility improvements, combined with the introduction of co-education, has seen a surge in enrolment demand at the Primary Campus.
It is now opportunistic to bring forward the Stage 3 works which will enable the Primary campus to grow to include four classes in each year level, beginning with Reception in 2025. This will increase enrolment capacity to 750 students by 2031, compared to current student numbers of 435, which will make it one of the largest Primary schools in South Australia.
The planned Stage 3 works will create:
- 4 additional general learning areas (GLA’s) with break out spaces
- Refurbishment of existing middle Primary GLA’s
- New Administration and Staff Centre
“The Primary Masterplan will create the opportunity for more students to be able to thrive in our Catholic community in a Lasallian tradition. St Michael’s College is committed to providing outstanding learning outcomes for our students and continues to develop contemporary facilities for the future”, Mr Tony Daley, Principal.
Sarah Constructions have been appointed as the builder for this project, and following completion of the Stage 2 project, due to finish later this year, the Stage 3 works will commence.
