A $24 million investment into the future of education at the Primary Campus by the end of 2024

Excitement is building at the Primary Campus with Stage 2B of the Primary Masterplan on schedule to be completed for the beginning of the 2024 school year.

By the end of 2024, a total of $24 million will have been invested into the rebuilding and refurbishment of the Primary Campus since 2020. As education continues to rapidly evolve, this commitment cements our mission to provide world-class facilities and an exceptional learning experience for all students at the College.

Beyond the Primary Campus, the College has exciting plans for major development work at the Secondary Campus, allowing St Michael’s students to flourish now and into the future. We look forward to unveiling more details later this year.

Significant progress on Stage 2B of the Primary Masterplan

There has been much building activity in recent weeks with construction works well underway and significant progress taking place, realising our vision of a modern and innovative learning space, soon becoming a reality.

Anticipation within our College community is high and the Stage 2B building works are on schedule for completion ahead of the 2024 school year. This significant milestone in our Primary Masterplan will see the opening of our $11 million Performing Arts Centre, providing a specialist facility rarely seen in a primary school environment.

To recap, the development will comprise of a Music and Performing Arts Centre, along with six music tutorial rooms and new canteen. The upper level will feature a Visual Arts learning space, four additional classrooms with breakout spaces, providing a warm and inviting learning environment for Year 5 and Year 6 students.

New classrooms and integrated breakout spaces

Stage 2A of the Masterplan was completed earlier this year with the redevelopment of two new contemporary classrooms and integrated breakout spaces. These learning areas are now being fully utilised by our students. Following the completion of the Stage 2 project, the Stage 3 building works will commence.
