The St Michael’s College community celebrates the SACE achievements of the graduating Class of 2021.

Congratulations also to College Dux, Valen Kostich, who achieved an ATAR of 99.9 and three merits in Electronics, Research Project B, and Mathematical Methods.

ORDER OF AUSTRALIA

The St Michael’s College community congratulates former colleague, Colleen Anne Billows, on her Order of Australia Medal for her service to the community through charitable organisations. Colleen has been supporting families with seriously ill children for more than two decades through her volunteer work with Ronald McDonald House (RMH), and recently abseiled down a 33-story building to raise money for the charity. Affectionately known as Nanna Col, she was also named one of the 2021 Westfield Local Heroes for West Lakes, as voted by the public, and a grant was awarded to RMH for her outstanding efforts.

 

 

DIVING CHAMPION

Congratulations to Year 11 student, Jaxon Bowshire (11PC-01), who has been named in The Messenger’s ‘Top 20 Young South Australian Athletes to watch in 2022’.

Jaxon is currently the top ranked 18 and Under male diver in Australia at only 15 years old. Jaxon is a member of the Diving Australia Dream 24/28 squad, which involves athletes identified to have the potential to achieve excellence at the 2024 and/or 2028 Olympic Games.

The College wishes Jaxon the best of luck as he prepares for the 2022 Open Nationals, and trials for the World Championships and Commonwealth Games!

 

 

 

ADELAIDE GIANTS NEXT GENERATION ACADEMY

Congratulations to Year 12 student, Jordan Hodges (12PC-06) [pictured], and old scholars Darcy Barry (2020), and Liam Bull (2020) who have been named in the Adelaide Giants Inaugural Next Generation Academy Roster. The Next Generation Academy trains potential future Giants players, with Darcy and Liam already making a name for themselves in the team. Congratulations on this achievement boys, the College wishes you all the best with this fantastic opportunity.
