BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to Year 9 students Sienna Grieger (9GPC-04) and Coco Hodges (9GPC-05), who have been selected to compete in the 2021 Australian Under-16 Junior Basketball Championships being held from Sunday, 26 September to Sunday, 3 October in Darwin at the Darwin Basketball Stadium and Marrara Indoor Stadium.

Sienna is also named in a 3-person leadership group for the team. We wish the girls every success.

SANFL UNDER 18 GRAND FINAL

Congratulations to Year 12 students Charlie Blair and Adam D’Aloia, who won the SANFL Under 18 Grand Final for Woodville West-Torrens on Saturday, 18 September. The team won against Glenelg by 17 points, with Charlie kicking two goals and Adam being awarded the ‘Alan Stewart Medal’ for best afield with 29 disposals, 8 clearances and a goal. Well done boys!

DANCE CONDITIONAL OFFER

Congratulations to Year 11 student Amelia Russo, who received a Conditional Offer to the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dance) 2023. Amelia successfully participated in the Flinders University Assessment held recently at St Michael’s College. Once Amelia completes her SACE and successfully auditions at the end of Year 12, she can take this offer at Flinders University.

Amelia has studied Dance at St Michael’s College from Year 8. She has gained a Certificate 2 in Dance, is currently finishing her Certificate 3 in Dance and will be completing Stage 2 Dance in Year 12. Amelia also teaches at Henley Beach Dance studio and is a National Champion with Matthew Cram Dance Academy. She hopes to work as a professional dancer in the future and have her own studio. We wish Amelia every success in her future endeavours!
