2021 CATHOLIC SCHOOLS TOUCH FOOTBALL CARNIVAL
On Thursday 2 September, 24 St Michael’s Primary students participated in the Annual Catholic Schools Touch Football Carnival held at the Adelaide Touch Football grounds. This year we fielded two Year 6 teams. In hot windy conditions, the boys showcased their touch football skills against some strong schools and competitors on the day. At the end of the carnival, our students won a combined 8 out of 12 games. All the boys displayed great sportsmanship and professionalism representing our school proudly. Fantastic work boys!
SAPSASA ATHLETICS
On Friday 3 September, 14 students competed at the SAPSASA Athletics Carnival held at the Henley Little Athletics Club. The boys participated in traditional athletics events including Shot Put, Discuss, Long Jump, High Jump, running events and relays. Our students were up for the challenge and showed great passion and determination and sportsmanship throughout the day. We had some outstanding individual results, congratulations to all the boys involved.
SAPSASA SOCCER CARNIVAL
Congratulations to Year 6 students Jude Cowan, Sonny Consalvo and Marcus Waye, who competed at the SAPSASA State Soccer Carnival held at Barrett Reserve West Beach last week. The students played against some of the best soccer players from around the state representing the Western District Soccer team. At the conclusion of the carnival the boys finished in 2nd place and received a silver medal for their efforts. Well done boys!
