IS YOUR GOAL TO TEACH IN A CATHOLIC SCHOOL?
Students who wish to teach in a Catholic school can get a head start to add subjects within their undergraduate course that may be beneficial on future job applications. UniSA offer four subjects within their Catholic Studies Subject Listings. You can do these within a Teaching Degree at UniSA or you may get permission to do these within another teaching degree at another university via what is called ‘Cross Institutional Studies’, for example as an outbound student from the University of Adelaide, please click here for more information.
If you study all four subjects you will be “tertiary accredited” to teach in a SA Catholic School upon graduation and will not have to complete further tertiary study to meet this requirement. Please note there are prerequisites for these subjects
If you have any elective spaces in your degree you may wish to start with Catholic Scriptures.

OCTOBER HOLIDAY WORK EXPERIENCE
Congratulations to the 20 students who organised a work placement over the October holiday period. Most students completed a placement as part of their Vocational Education requirements whilst the remainder sought to ‘try out’ a career area. We were so proud of the way students represented the College and we have heard great feedback. Once again, Louise Kennewell supported our Certificate III Fitness students at her business Female Training Centre (FTC), a wonderful local business where we know many of the females in our community attend. Year 11 student Amelia Hartwig (11PC-04) completed her placement at FTC and got a glowing report. Amelia is just finishing off her Certificate III Fitness which will contribute to her ATAR in Year12 2022. We hope it was worth some of those 6:00 am starts at FTC!
